Prof. Jagannathan started Linguanet in the year 2012 jointly with Mr Jeevan Asija, who had experience of working with CDAC, Pune at the Delhi office. The objective of Linguanet was to promote work related to language and it had successfully launched the following programs- Uploading Chatrakosh online, Multilingual Phrasebook comprising English, Hindi and Tamil,self-learning material for learning script by the name Learn Indian Scripts for three languages namely Hindi, Tamil, English. The ambitious program of English Online is about to be launched. However we felt that we need an academic body to run research based programs. Thus the idea of starting the Institute of Cognitive Studies and Linguistics was formed. It is launched as a unit of Propelurs Consulting So that we can concentrate on academic programs unencumbered by corporate responsibilities.
We intend to use the best resources available in languages in the development and implementation of programs. We also want to make available many of the programs to our users free of charge.
